I am currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school based in Eltham. They are currently in need of a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant that has experience with various special needs or challenging behaviour.

The role will be supporting pupils with moderate and mild forms of SEN such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia as well as some behavioural difficulties. It will be a varied role.

The position is open to Learning Support Assistants that have experience in both primary or secondary as they are transferable skills. You will be joining a successful school that can provide multiple opportunities. This school offers a range of professional development opportunities.

You will be working with students on a 1:1 and group basis. The school is located in a well-served location for transport; however, there is no parking on site.

  • Location: East London – Eltham
  • Type of work: Supporting the designated student with their specific needs, ideally someone who has a wide range of experience.
  • Contract type: Ongoing until the end of the school year with a view of extension.
  • Full time/part time: Full time ONLY
  • Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Training & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (Desirable)
  • A real passion to get into teaching
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant / Experience working with a wide range of Special education needs (Desirable but not essential)
  • Reliable, Punctual and Committed (Essential)
