Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a unique and nurturing primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Greenwich, South East London
- Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Type of work - Classroom support, intervention work, lesson cover, small group and 1:1 support, assisting with planning and assessment where required
- Contract or position start date - September 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration - Full Academic Year

- Minimum rate of pay - £120 - £150 per day
- Hours - 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working within a UK primary school
- Experience covering whole-class lessons is desirable
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
