HLTA needed in a Independent School in Greenwich

Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a unique and nurturing primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Greenwich, South East London
• Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• Type of work - Classroom support, intervention work, lesson cover, small group and 1:1 support, assisting with planning and assessment where required
• Contract or position start date - September 2026
• Duration / Likely Duration - Full Academic Year
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2027
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary Contract
• Full time/part time - Full Time
• Minimum rate of pay - £120 - £150 per day
• Hours - 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience working within a UK primary school
• Experience covering whole-class lessons is desirable
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
