About the Role

I am currently looking for an experienced Health & Beauty Tutor/Mentor to support a learner based in Greenwich. This is a sensitive SEN placement, and I am specifically looking for someone with a strong background in supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will deliver engaging and personalised Health & Beauty Level 1 and Level 2 learning programmes while providing tailored mentoring support to help the learner achieve their educational and personal development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Health & Beauty Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum content.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the learner's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Employ teaching strategies that are suitable for learners with Autism and SEN.
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Assess work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build positive relationships with the learner, family, and wider support network where required.
  • Promote learner confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the forefront of all interactions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience teaching Health & Beauty Level 1 and/or Level 2.
  • Previous experience supporting learners with Autism and additional SEN needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Relevant teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or vocational qualifications are desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
