About the Graduate / Teaching Assistant Position

Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic graduates who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience before beginning teacher training. These are long-term placements with immediate starts available.

We are recruiting graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in the following PO postcode areas:

  • Portsmouth (PO1/PO6)
  • Southsea
  • Cosham
  • Drayton
  • Fareham (PO14/PO16)
  • Gosport (PO12/PO13)
  • Havant (PO9/PO10)
  • Waterlooville (PO7/PO8)
  • Emsworth (PO10)
  • Hayling Island (PO11)
  • Chichester and surrounding areas (PO18/PO20)

This is the perfect opportunity for recent graduates looking to build classroom experience ahead of teacher training.

No prior experience is required; however, any experience working with children or young people including in a classroom setting will be highly beneficial.

You will be:

  • Working 5 days per week, term-time only
  • Supporting students with a range of SEND needs
  • Working across Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4
