About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce opportunities for dedicated and passionate graduates to join a secondary school in the Maghull area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to inspire students.

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Maghull, L31

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: Paid to scale

Responsibilities:

  • Behaviour management: Foster a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
  • Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
  • Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and students thrive academically and socially.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years.
