How to prepare for a job interview at Prospero Teaching

Know Your EYFS Inside Out

Make sure you’re well-versed in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Brush up on how it guides your practice and be ready to discuss how you’ve implemented it in previous roles. This shows you’re not just qualified, but also passionate about delivering high-quality care.

Showcase Your Flexibility

Since the role offers flexible hours, highlight your adaptability during the interview. Share examples of how you’ve successfully managed different shifts or worked in various nursery settings. This will demonstrate that you can thrive in a dynamic environment.

Build Rapport with the Interviewer

Remember, building relationships is key in this role. Approach the interview as a conversation rather than a Q&A session. Smile, make eye contact, and engage with the interviewer. This will reflect your ability to connect with children and parents alike.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions that ask how you would handle specific situations in a nursery setting. Think about scenarios involving child development, safeguarding, or conflict resolution. Prepare clear, concise examples from your experience to illustrate your problem-solving skills.
