Contract: Starting at 4-weeks, extension upon review

Working Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Early finish on Fridays)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a dedicated Humanities department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while supporting their academic progress and achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher looking to work within a supportive school environment, with the potential to secure a permanent position after an initial temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress and attainment
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
  • Support the wider aims and ethos of the school
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography
  • Experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school setting
  • A relevant degree in Geography, Humanities, or a related subject
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to helping all students reach their full potential
