Job description

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the curriculum. You’ll help create a nurturing, engaging classroom atmosphere, providing one-to-one and small group support where needed to ensure all pupils make good progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Provide targeted support for individual pupils or small groups.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence.

  • Assist with preparing resources, displays, and classroom organisation.

  • Promote the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

  • Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
