The Role
- Deliver one-to-one or small group GCSE-level tuition (core subjects such as English, Maths and/or Science)
- Work with students who may have SEN, SEMH needs, or be disengaged from mainstream education
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships to support academic progress and confidence
- Provide feedback on student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE-level students
- A patient, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable young people
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate learning
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Previous experience with SEN or alternative provision is highly desirable
