Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for GCSE Tutors who have experience supporting children and young people who are currently working below their age expected attainment levels and unable to take their GCSEs but would be able, with support achieve a Functional Skills qualification. Some of these children and young people are disengaged learners, so require a tutor who is able to increase engagement and help them achieve a qualification. Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have QTS, a PGCE or equivalent. Position Details: Position: GCSE Tutors Hours: up to 15 hours a week Start date: ASAP Location: Tameside Duration: ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalent ability to teach GCSEs Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils UK classroom teaching experience Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box To be eligible for this role, the potential GCSE Tutors must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
