Prospero Teaching are seeking passionate and knowledgeable GCSE Maths Tutors to support young people requiring alternate provision in the BCP area. Our tuitions run from 2 to 15 hours a week, so are perfect for those seeking part-time and full-time tuition work. We also support young people in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications.
We work with a variety of ages and abilities, so we require our tutors to have strong curriculum knowledge in their subject area and the ability to make learning bespoke to the needs of the young person. This also means that tuition can be very flexible and work around the strengths of the tutor. Tuition usually takes place within the home of the young person and can also run in public settings like libraries and cafes. Therefore, we will always keep the tutor's home location in mind so that sessions are accessible to all.
Requirements
- To be eligible, we require our tutors to either hold QTS or have experience in teaching or tutoring young people for at least 6 months.
- We also require all staff to hold an enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service - we can help you obtain this if you don’t have one.
- If you currently have a child only DBS on the update service, that is not an issue, it just means you will not be able to work with students aged 18 or over.
Additional Information
If this role is unsuitable to you but you know someone who is suitable, we also offer a referral bonus that you could be eligible for if they successfully work with us. If you have any questions, please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you!
