Prospero Teaching seeks a passionate, confident and patient Maths and English Tutor to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons as an alternate education provider at a secondary level. The role supports and re‑engages young people, provides structure to their routine, and aids their return to school.
Key Details
- Ongoing placement until the young person returns to school.
- Hours dependent on the young person’s needs, typically 6‑10 hours per week during school hours.
- Pay: £25–£30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Desired Candidate
- Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- QTS desirable but not essential.
- Creative, patient and willing to think outside the box.
- Experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils.

- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to complete a new application.
