Job description

SEN Catering Teacher – PRU(Pupil Referral Unit) – Croydon, London

Title: SEN Catering Teacher
School Type: Pupil Referral Unit
SEN Needs: SEMH, severe challenging behaviour
Location: Croydon, CR0
Part Time: 3 Days Per Week (Flexible)
Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm (1hr Lunch)
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Long-term
Rate: Paid according to your teaching scale

You will be teaching Catering to a small class of up to 8 pupils.
Classes will include mixed ages and genders – for example, you could have both Year 7 and Year 11 students in the same group.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and assessing lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Requirements:

  • QTS or 5 years’ experience teaching catering / food tech
  • Child and Adult DBS on the update service
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • SEN experience, particularly with challenging behaviours and SEMH
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
