Job Description

Job Title: Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor\\nLocation: Southwark\\nContract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time\\nStart Date: ASAP\\nPay Rate: £25-£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nDeliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Functional Skills Maths and English.\\nAdapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.\\nDevelop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.\\nMonitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.\\nCreate a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English.\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\nMinimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English.\\nExperience working with SEN students.\\nRight to work in the UK.\\nMust have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.\\n\\nDesired Qualifications & Experience:\\n\\nPGCE and/or QTS is highly desirable.\\nStrong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learner needs.Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
