Learning Support Worker (Part-Time) Location: Frome, Somerset Working Pattern: Every Wednesday, 9:30am - 2:30pm Pay: £14.25 - £16.68 per hour (dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications) Contract Type: Temporary ongoing through Prospero Teaching Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Worker to support young adults within a specialist adult learning setting in the Frome area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting individuals with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD). You will play a key role in helping learners access their education, build confidence, and achieve their personal learning goals. The role also requires the completion of a brief written summary after each session, documenting the support provided and learner progress. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to learners with Specific Learning Differences. Help learners engage with course content and develop effective learning strategies. Promote independence, confidence, and participation within the learning environment. Adapt support approaches to meet individual learner needs. Maintain accurate records and complete concise session summaries following each support session. Work collaboratively with tutors and other professionals to ensure learners receive the support they need. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience supporting young adults or adults with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD). Relevant training or qualifications in education, SEN, learning support, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written skills to accurately record learner progress and support provided. A patient, empathetic, and professional approach. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. What We Offer Competitive pay between £14.25 and £16.68 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications. Consistent weekly hours every Wednesday.
