We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate tutor to provide 1:1 face-to-face support for a Year 10 pupil in Fordingbridge.
Subjects:
- English
- Maths
Hours & Duration:
- 15 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 12-week placement
- Face-to-face tuition only
Pupil Background:
The learner presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. They have a history of significant developmental trauma, which may impact:
- Emotion regulation
- Attention
- Working memory
- Flexible thinking
- Executive functioning
- Self-control
We are seeking a tutor who can provide patience, structure, and consistency, and who can build a positive, trusting relationship while supporting academic progress.
Tutor Requirements:
- Male or female tutors welcome - no preference
- At least 6 months experience working in UK schools and good understanding of the curriculum
- Experience with SEMH or trauma-informed practice is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Confident working independently with a young person
Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
