We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate tutor to provide 1:1 face-to-face support for a Year 10 pupil in Fordingbridge.

Subjects:

  • English
  • Maths

Hours & Duration:

  • 15 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 12-week placement
  • Face-to-face tuition only

Pupil Background:

The learner presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. They have a history of significant developmental trauma, which may impact:

  • Emotion regulation
  • Attention
  • Working memory
  • Flexible thinking
  • Executive functioning
  • Self-control

We are seeking a tutor who can provide patience, structure, and consistency, and who can build a positive, trusting relationship while supporting academic progress.

Tutor Requirements:

  • Male or female tutors welcome - no preference
  • At least 6 months experience working in UK schools and good understanding of the curriculum
  • Experience with SEMH or trauma-informed practice is highly desirable
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs
  • Confident working independently with a young person

Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
