A supportive and specialist SEMH secondary school in Islington is currently seeking passionate and resilient educators for two exciting full-time teaching opportunities:

  • Food Technology Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach practical, skills-based food technology lessons
  • Focus on nutrition, hygiene, and essential life skills
  • Inspire creativity and independence through hands-on learning
  • Maintain a safe, supportive teaching kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching qualification
  • Experience working in SEMH or Alternative Provision settings (preferred)
  • Excellent behaviour management and a calm, nurturing approach
  • Previous experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Ideally experience working with children and/or young people
  • Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.
  • To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
