Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary and primary schools in the Winchester area. This role involves stepping into the classroom in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre‑prepared lesson content, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. Work is available on a full‑time or flexible day‑to‑day basis, depending on your availability.

The Role

  • Deliver pre‑prepared lesson content across a range of subjects
  • Supervise pupils and maintain classroom routines
  • Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
  • Support students with learning tasks and engagement
  • Cover a variety of subjects as required
  • Provide cover for both pre‑planned and short‑notice absences
  • Maintain a calm and structured classroom environment
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
  • Confident leading a classroom independently
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Calm, adaptable, and professional approach
  • Comfortable covering a range of subjects
