KS3/4 SEN Teaching Assistant Full time position, commencing immediately and running until July 2027.
Position Overview This role is designed for an enthusiastic graduate who is interested in teacher training, with the possibility of progressing to a primary or secondary teaching qualification. The role provides a range of support activities including academic assistance, 1:1 mentoring, and crisis intervention for students requiring additional help.
Responsibilities Support young learners across secondary subjects such as Maths, English, Science, Humanities, and Physical Education.
Deliver academic support and mentoring to students needing extra assistance.
Provide crisis intervention when required and support student welfare.
Contribute to a calm, positive learning environment in partnership with teachers and support staff.
Contract Details Location: Bolton, Lancashire

Duration: 8:30am to 3:30pm, full time, until July 2027
Contract type: Temporary
Minimum rate of pay: GBP 90
Qualifications and Experience Recent graduate with a 2:2 or higher, or previous experience as a TA in a similar setting.
Previous experience working in a UK school.
Up to date safeguarding training issued within the last year.
Prospero Teaching Requirements Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child‑related references.
Additional Information All adults working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to register and pass all safeguarding and vetting checks with Prospero Teaching.
