Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist school in the Farnborough area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist for a September 2026 start. This is a newly created role offering a unique opportunity to establish and develop speech and language provision within a supportive, forward-thinking setting. The school supports pupils aged 4-16 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and SEMH needs, with a strong focus on communication, independence, and personal development. The Role:
- Lead the development of a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) provision across the school
- Deliver specialist, outcome-focused interventions for pupils with communication needs
- Embed speech and language strategies across the curriculum
- Assess, diagnose, and support pupils with a range of communication difficulties
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reports
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration (essential)
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- At least 2 years' experience working as a SaLT
- Experience supporting children with ASC and/or SEMH needs
- Confident delivering staff training and working within multidisciplinary teams
- Organised, proactive, and committed to pupil wellbeing
- Strong understanding of evidence-based and child-centred practice
