Overview
Prospero Teaching is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming 'Good' Ofsted‑rated SEN School in Stubbington.
The school provides specialist education and support for pupils aged 11‑16 with complex learning difficulties and associated needs, including autism, speech and language disorders, and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with autism and learning difficulties in the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
- Participate proactively in classroom activities and engage with pupils.
- Provide personal care responsibilities when required.
- Assist with delivering a pupil‑centred curriculum that celebrates individual strengths and encourages independence.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports every learner to thrive academically and personally.
Qualifications
- Previous TA experience desirable, preferably within the SEN sector.
- Passion for working with children with ASD and complex needs.
- Proactive, positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service) or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional child‑related references.
- Full‑time (Monday‑Friday, 30 hours per week) availability.
