Prospero Teaching are seeking a highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Fareham. You will be working across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, supporting pupils in the classroom, covering PPA, and delivering small group intervention sessions where required.
Role Details
- Hours: 30 per week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Days: Monday to Friday, term time only
- Pay: Minimum 14.50 per hour (to be discussed with consultant)
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a relevant HLTA qualification
- Has classroom experience supporting teachers and pupils
- Possesses strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent)
- Has experience delivering small group interventions
- Demonstrates effective behaviour management skills
- Can use ICT confidently to support learning
- Communicates clearly, positively, and with confidence
- Is organised, proactive, and demonstrates a genuine 'can do' attitude
- Understands children's emotions and behaviour, and works to remove barriers to learning
- Is resilient, flexible, resourceful, and brings a good sense of humour
The successful candidate will:
- Work under the guidance of the class teacher or SLT within the classroom setting
- Support pupils to remain engaged and complete learning activities
- Help manage children's social and emotional needs in collaboration with the class teacher
- Assist with assessment and contribute to reviewing pupil progress
- Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding practices at all times
