We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our vibrant team in Bournemouth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and positive outcomes for all pupils.
- Maintain and develop the school's SEND policy and practice in line with statutory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on SEND matters.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or currently working towards it).
- Proven experience as a SENCO in a primary school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every child.
