The Role
As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Foster a love of learning in young children
- Support pupils transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

- Holds (or will obtain) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026
- Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early reading/phonics
- Is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to professional development
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
- Has high expectations for all pupils
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
