We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutors to support students in the Clacton area who are currently disengaged from mainstream education for a variety of reasons. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils on an individual basis, helping to rebuild confidence, re‑engage them with learning, and support their academic and personal development in a tailored, flexible way.
About the Role
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions in a supportive and engaging manner
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of each student
- Support students with a range of needs, including SEND and those who are disengaged from education
- Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage participation and progress
Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor
- QTS or equivalent, or relevant tutoring experience
- UK classroom teaching experience or tutoring experience
- Creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Have an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child‑related references
