English Teacher – Southampton – Long-Term Cover

Location: Southampton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Working Hours: 8:00/8:30am – 5:00/5:30pm
Pay: £168 per day

We are seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a supportive school in Southampton for a long-term cover position, following the departure of a permanent staff member. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, with working hours from 8:00/8:30am to 5:00/5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and assess learning in line with curriculum standards
  • Support students in developing literacy, analytical thinking, and exam skills
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
