About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join a secondary school in the L35 area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic educator to inspire and nurture students.
Location: L35
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am β 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering lessons: Creating engaging lesson plans that cover reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Assessing student progress: Evaluating homework, exams, and classroom participation to track improvement.
- Building relationships: Establishing trust with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
- Encouraging communication skills: Helping students develop confidence in expressing themselves through discussions, presentations, and writing exercises.
- Providing feedback: Offering constructive criticism to help students refine their language skills.
- Adapting teaching methods: Using different strategies to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Ability to provide two professional references.
