Prospero Teaching are currently looking for English & Maths GCSE Tutors to provide 1:1 support to young people within the Liverpool area.
The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for an experienced English & Maths GCSE Tutor to support students with complex needs, who are currently out of school and not receiving education. Tuition is needed to support students with the core subjects of Maths and English.
Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN.
Position Details:
- Location: Liverpool
- Position: 1:1 English & Maths GCSE Tutor
- Hours: TBC (Between 9am - 3pm)
- Timetable: TBC
- Start date: September 2026
- Duration: ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience working with students with complex needs
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 English & Maths Tutor must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
