Job Overview
Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS3 or KS4 teacher for an outstanding therapeutic SEMH setting located in Enfield, near Enfield Lock.
The school has approximately 80 students on roll, all with Enhanced Health and Care Plans (EHCPS) and varying life trauma, and provides the support required for them to continue their learning and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach 6 pupils per class, typically 2‑3 years behind national expectations.
- Plan and deliver flexible lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Work within an Applied Learning (AP) setting, utilizing practices supportive of Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) students.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support students’ progress.
- Maintain accurate teaching records and report to the curriculum team.
Qualifications and Experience
- QTS is essential.
- Background in mainstream education with a desire to transition to an AP setting is preferred.
- Previous experience working with SEMH is essential.
- Working Conditions
- Full‑time, 5 days a week.
- Working hours: 08:20‑16:00 daily, with a slightly earlier finish at 15:00 on Fridays.
- Location: Enfield, with a large staff car park available.
