Site Manager - Primary School in Enfield Town

The Role As Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the school's premises, buildings, and grounds. Reporting to the School Business Manager and Headteacher, you will lead site operations, manage contractors, supervise maintenance and cleaning activities, and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Opening and closing the school premises and acting as a key holder Managing site security, alarms, gates, doors, and perimeter checks Carrying out health and safety inspections and maintaining compliance records Conducting weekly fire alarm testing and monitoring fire safety equipment Managing legionella checks and water safety monitoring Maintaining COSHH records and ensuring safe storage of hazardous materials Identifying and addressing maintenance issues across the school site Coordinating and monitoring external contractors Supervising cleaning standards and premises upkeep Managing a Site Assistant and supporting the wider operations team Ensuring school grounds are safe, presentable, and fit for purpose throughout the year The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: ✔ Previous experience as a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager, Premises Manager, or similar role ✔ Strong knowledge of school health and safety requirements ✔ Experience managing contractors and maintenance works ✔ Good DIY and practical maintenance skills ✔ The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently ✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills ✔ A proactive and problem-solving approach ✔ Experience working within a school environment (desirable) What the School Offers Supportive and friendly leadership team Well-resourced school environment Opportunity to make a real impact on the day-to-day running of the school Long-term stability within a highly regarded primary school Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
