We are currently recruiting for a qualified Maths & English Tutor at Prospero Teaching to support students in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator who is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Role Details

  • Position: Maths & English Tutor
  • Location: Ealing
  • Pay Rate: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths and English tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Develop personalised lesson plans and learning strategies to support student progress.
  • Work closely with students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit their specific requirements.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents/carers, and relevant professionals.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths and English.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Experience working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN requirements.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students who may have barriers to learning.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
