Contract / Position Details:

  • Location: Various schools in Dorset and South Somerset
  • Position: Secondary Supply Teacher (covering multiple subjects)
  • Type of Work: Delivering lessons and maintaining classroom standards in the absence of the class teacher
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing until further notice
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Full-time / Part-time: Both available - daily supply
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: From £135 per day
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Essential: QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification; Previous experience working in a UK secondary school
  • Desirable: Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year); Strong classroom management and adaptability

Eligibility Requirements:

  • To work through Prospero Teaching, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK; Have an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one); Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
