Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and skilled Tutors to support Year 11 learners as they prepare for their GCSEs or Functional Skills qualifications. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people's confidence and academic outcomes across Dorset.

Role- Deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group sessions in Maths, English, or other GCSE/Functional Skills subjects
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on each learner's needs, abilities and goals
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage motivation and resilience
- Keep accurate attendance and progress records
- Help learners prepare confidently for exams and assessments
- Experienced in supporting learners in Year 11 or working towards GCSE/Functional Skills
- Confident delivering Maths and/or English to exam level
- Patient, encouraging and adaptable in your teaching approach
- Able to motivate disengaged or anxious learners
- Organised, professional and dependable
- Experience with SEN/SEMH is an advantage, but not essential
- Hours: Up to 15 hours per week
- Location: DT1 and surrounding areas across Dorset
- Pay: £25-£30 per hour
- Start: Ongoing opportunities available
- Format: 1:1 and small-group tuition (in school or local community settings)
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
- Provide professional references
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training (or be willing to complete it)
- Have at least 1 year of experience in UK education settings
