Role
  • Deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group sessions in Maths, English, or other GCSE/Functional Skills subjects
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on each learner's needs, abilities and goals
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage motivation and resilience
  • Keep accurate attendance and progress records
  • Help learners prepare confidently for exams and assessments
About You
  • Experienced in supporting learners in Year 11 or working towards GCSE/Functional Skills
  • Confident delivering Maths and/or English to exam level
  • Patient, encouraging and adaptable in your teaching approach
  • Able to motivate disengaged or anxious learners
  • Organised, professional and dependable
  • Experience with SEN/SEMH is an advantage, but not essential

  • Hours: Up to 15 hours per week
  • Location: DT1 and surrounding areas across Dorset
  • Pay: £25-£30 per hour
  • Start: Ongoing opportunities available
  • Format: 1:1 and small-group tuition (in school or local community settings)
Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
  • Provide professional references
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training (or be willing to complete it)
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in UK education settings
