Area: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Rate: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the School:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff and SENCOs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
