As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development both inside and outside the classroom.
- Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff and SENCOs.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential.
To be eligible, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references.
