Prospero Teaching are recruiting KS4 and KS5 Teachers across all core subjects to support several secondary schools throughout Flint, Mold, Connah’s Quay, Deeside and the wider Flintshire area. There is consistent demand for specialists in Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, RE and other humanities subjects. Both immediate starts and January placements are available.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are passionate about supporting older learners, helping students progress through GCSE and A-Level, and delivering high-quality lessons within a well-organised, supportive environment. You can work in a single long-term placement or across multiple schools depending on your preferences.
The role:
As a KS4/KS5 Teacher, you will deliver engaging, well-planned lessons within your subject specialism, support exam preparation and play an active role in helping students achieve strong outcomes. You will work closely with department teams, pastoral leaders and senior staff to maintain a positive and structured learning environment built on consistency, high expectations and respect.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching across KS4 and/or KS5 within your subject area
- Planning and delivering high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Supporting academic progress, personal development and exam readiness
- Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
- Creating an inclusive, positive and supportive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with pastoral and subject colleagues
- Promoting high expectations for behaviour, effort and engagement
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- EWC registration – essential for teaching roles in Wales
- Experience teaching KS4 and/or KS5
- Confident, enthusiastic and able to motivate older learners
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed to high standards
- Good understanding of safeguarding
