A well-regarded secondary school in Darwen is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis. The school is keen to meet both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role - Science Teacher

As a Science Teacher, you will join an established Science department and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will teach across the Science curriculum, helping pupils develop their understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics while preparing examination groups for their GCSEs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS3 and KS4 Science lessons
  • Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the curriculum
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Supporting GCSE pupils with examination preparation
  • Differentiating lessons for pupils with varying abilities
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Contributing positively to the wider Science department and school community
