Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 6 Teacher for a Primary school in Wilmington, SM6.

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. It is going from strength to strength and provides training to all staff. The position is open to NQTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

  • Type of work: Class Teacher – planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings, etc.

  • Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday (term time only)

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year KS1/KS2 teaching experience in the UK
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility Requirements through Prospero Teaching

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering at least the last two years
