A forward thinking secondary school in Bradford is seeking a Curriculum Leader of Science to join their leadership team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Science teacher ready to take the next step, or for an established middle leader looking to make a lasting impact. You will lead the strategic development of the Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to shape teaching, learning and outcomes within a supportive and collaborative department. The school serves a diverse community and is committed to raising attainment, closing gaps and providing high quality Science education for all students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Science curriculum in line with national expectations
  • Driving improvements in teaching and learning through coaching and quality assurance
  • Using data effectively to inform intervention and improve student outcomes
  • Line managing and supporting Science staff, including ECTs where applicable
  • Contributing to whole school improvement priorities and leadership initiatives

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Science teacher with strong KS3-KS4 subject knowledge
  • Have experience of, or readiness for, curriculum or middle leadership
  • Be confident using data to raise attainment
