Are you passionate about education and supporting young people who face barriers to learning? We are seeking a committed and empathetic 1:1 Outreach Tutor to work with students in the Cullompton area who are currently outside of mainstream education.

About the Role: This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised, one-to-one tuition to learners in their homes or community settings. You will help students re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lessons in core subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science)
  • Support students with SEND, SEMH, or those at risk of exclusion
  • Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Liaise with schools, parents/carers, and local authorities
  • Track and report on student progress

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or relevant tutoring experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable or disengaged learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to individual student needs
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
