Prospero Teaching is proud to partner with Local Councils and SEND teams across the UK, offering educational support to individuals who are out of mainstream education, seeking extra help, or have SEND. We are on the lookout for a passionate Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent to provide tailored, one‑on‑one tuition in Core Subjects, helping students prepare for their GCSE exams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver focused, personalised tuition across various GCSE subjects, ensuring students grasp core concepts.
  • Design engaging, interactive lesson plans that adapt to individual learning styles with help of our own resources on our Portal for Tutors.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting your approach to meet their evolving needs by writing a EOW report.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that motivates students to achieve academic success.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and areas for improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification OR Tuition experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum across key subjects.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build positive, impactful relationships with students.
  • A passion for helping students succeed and confidence in teaching up to GCSE level.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Proven success in helping students achieve academic goals through one‑on‑one tutoring.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and boost student confidence and engagement.

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
