Secondary Cover Teacher Wanted – Inspire the Next Generation!
Location: Middlesbrough
Start Date: 3rd November

Are you a passionate educator with a flexible approach and a love for teaching? We’re looking for a confident and reliable Secondary Cover Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

About the Role:

As a Cover Teacher, you’ll step into a range of classrooms across different subjects, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across various departments, support students’ progress, and be a vital part of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback to relevant staff on student progress and behaviour
  • Be a positive role model and contribute to the school ethos
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong understanding of the UK secondary curriculum (KS3 & KS4)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • QTS or relevant teaching experience is desirable, but applications from experienced cover supervisors or unqualified teachers with strong classroom experience are also welcome
