We are seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in the Oldham area. This role is ideal for graduates considering teacher training and looking to gain paid experience in a classroom setting, or experienced teaching assistants. You will be supported by a strong cover team and teaching staff throughout the academic year.

  • Position: Cover Supervisor (Secondary)
  • Start Date: Sept 2026
  • Contract Type: Full-time, temporary
  • Hours: 8:00am - 4pm
  • Minimum Pay: 163 - 232 a day

Cover Supervisor Role Overview

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

Experience, Training & Qualifications

  • Recent graduate (2:2 degree or above)
  • Previous experience working with young people or in a school environment
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional, child-related references
