Prospero Teaching are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools on the Wirral from February. These roles are ideal for confident individuals who enjoy working with young people, maintaining classroom structure and supporting learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Cover Supervisor roles are available on a day-to-day, short-term and longer-term basis, offering flexibility while providing consistent work in local Wirral schools.
The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task. You\βll be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, managing behaviour in line with school policies and providing feedback to teaching and pastoral staff as required. Schools are looking for reliable, adaptable Cover Supervisors who can step into different classrooms with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Supervising whole classes during planned and unplanned teacher absences
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
- Managing classroom behaviour and engagement
- Ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment
- Supporting pupils to remain focused and on taskLiaising with teaching and pastoral staff when required
