As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in a pupil's education while promoting engagement, confidence and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking to deliver personalised learning outside of a mainstream classroom.
We are seeking a tutor with experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English, together with specialist knowledge of Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL), supporting hearing-impaired pupils, and working with pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and support positive learning outcomes.
Contract/Position Details:- Location - Within the community or pupil's home in Coventry
- Position - 1:1 Outreach Tutor

- Duration - Until the pupil reintegrates into a school placement

- QTS or equivalent
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English
- Experience using Makaton and/or BSL
- Experience supporting hearing-impaired and EAL pupils
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged learners
- A creative, patient and adaptable approach
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Provide two professional child-related references
