The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Core Subjects Tutor to provide 1:1 support to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
This role would suit someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping young learners reach their potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one tutoring in English, Maths and/or Science.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
- Support with homework, exam preparation, and building study confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and feedback for parents/guardians.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- QTS or equivalent
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- SEN experience
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
