Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to deliver 1:1 specialist educational support to children and young people from primary age through to post-16 in Barking and Dagenham. Learners may be out of school, awaiting specialist placements, or require additional support to access education.
Young people present with complex SEN needs, including:
- ASD
- SEMH
- Global Developmental Delay
- Learning difficulties
- Communication needs
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Physical needs
Due to the level of complexity, a minimum of two years' experience working with SEN learners is essential. The role requires a confident, adaptable tutor able to deliver highly personalised, trauma-informed sessions. Tutors will support academic engagement, communication, emotional regulation, and independence, with sessions tailored to EHCP outcomes and individual learning profiles.
Tuition may take place in family homes (with a responsible adult present), libraries, community venues, or other approved settings. Full guidance, resources, and progress monitoring are provided by Prospero's Learning Delivery Team.
