Prospero Teaching are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Colchester, supporting a Year 1 pupil with autism, starting ASAP. This role will involve providing tailored support to help the pupil engage with learning, build confidence, and manage their day-to-day classroom routine.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Colchester
- Position - 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 1)
- Contract or position start date - ASAP
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing for the rest of the summer term
- Contract type - Long-Term Temporary
- Full time/part time - Part time (Monday to Friday)
- Minimum rate of pay - £62 - £65 per day
- Hours - 10.30 am - 3.15 pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous TA experience
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, is highly desirable
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to learning support
- GCSE English and Maths grade 'C'
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
