Functional Skills Tutor - Clacton Prospero Teaching are currently looking for flexible Functional Skills Tutors to support learners through 1:1 tuition in Clacton. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Clacton Position - Functional Skills Tutor Type of work - Contract Start date - ASAP Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student End date (if applicable) - N/A Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour. The hourly rate will be in line with professional pay scales where these are available or based on experience if they are not available. Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per sessionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver one-to-one tuition in Functional Skills Maths and English. Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging. Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps. Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families. Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent 6 months+ experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
