We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South West London. This is a full-time long-term position supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

About the Role

  • Full-time long-term HLTA position in a primary school
  • Working 1:1 with pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech & language needs, and social difficulties
  • Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation
  • Delivering small interventions and occasionally covering classes
  • Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

We’re Looking For

  • HLTA qualification or strong experience covering classes
  • Proven experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs
  • Confident working 1:1 and adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Strong behaviour skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
