This role leads the development of high quality teaching in Science across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include supporting staff, improving standards, leading CPD, monitoring curriculum delivery and contributing to whole school improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on improving teaching and learning across Science
  • Support staff through coaching, modelling and guidance
  • Oversee planning, monitoring and evaluation of KS3 and KS4 provision
  • Lead dissemination of best practice and resources
  • Support school wide development priorities and action plans
  • Chair department meetings and contribute to senior team discussions
  • Maintain high visibility across the school day
